If your child is away

Tell us through the HERO app — search Linc-Ed in the App Store or Google Play. We are legally required to record why a child is absent. If we have not heard from you a text goes out; if you get one and believe your child is at school, please ring us straight away.

Before and after school care

Under the school hall, 7am to 8.30am and 2.40pm to 6pm. It runs at our school but is not run by the school — Gaye is a private contractor. There is currently a wait list. Ring Gaye on 021 0269 6958.

Taking your child out during the day

Come to the office first. Our staff will sign your child out on the VisTab and give you a slip for the teacher. Teachers have been instructed not to release a child without it.

Bikes and scooters

Senior children may ride to school. Helmets must be worn, and there is a bike rack under the hall. Scooters and skateboards can come to the gate, then be carried to the cloakrooms.

Medical and medication

Tell the office about any medical issue. Asthma needs an up-to-date plan and medication kept here. Any medication must be named, with dosage, and a medication sheet signed.

Reporting to parents

Two formal meetings a year, in February and July, and two written reports. They are student-led conferences, so it matters that you come. You are welcome to ask for a meeting any time.

Sport

Years 4 to 6 take part in inter-school fixtures. School netball teams register in Term 1 — ask for Nureé Greenhalgh through the office. Fitness is part of the PE programme and everyone takes part.

What to wear

There is no school uniform. We ask for sensible dress so children can join in everything, named clearly. Hats must be worn over summer under our sun safety policy.
